Functions for multi-axis machining
MAPPS III is packed with functions which offer total support and peace of mind for programming of multi-axis machining.
Conversational automatic programming
Programming has been greatly simplified as data input required has been minimized, even for machining of complex shapes.
Y-axis machining
Y-axis machining is conversationally programmable, too, and with simulation of all programmed jobs.

It makes checking machining shapes and tool paths simple.
Drawing simulation time comparison
MAPPS III's drawing simulation processing speed is much faster than MAPPS II's - about a 70% time reduction for a workpiece requiring 8 processes.
- • Simulations of manually created G code programs, and not just programs entered using the conversational function, are also possible (including sub-programs)
- • Zooming and rotation are available during simulations and tool trajectories can be displayed
Conversational direct operation function and conversational direct drawing function
Conversational data entered based on the drawings can be used to perform a drawing check (direct drawing) and to carry out direct operation, all without creating an NC program. After entry of the conversational data, the data can immediately be used for operation, reducing the setup time.

- • Does not require NC memory (program storage capacity)
- • Because NC text conversion is not required, this function is ideal for single workpieces where shorter setup times are particularly important
3D interference checking function
In machining with a 5-axis machine, even a small error in operation can lead to a collision accident in the machine.
You can check for interference in 3D for spindles, workpieces, soft jaws, tools, holders and turrets.
Since the machine will stop when interference is detected either in manual or in automatic mode, we have achieved the world's safest system against interference.
*The 3D interference checking function will check for interference accurately as long as the 3D model exactly matches the actual configuration of the spindles, workpieces, soft jaws, tools, holders and turrets. *Customized design is required for special shape. *A cutting simulation that shows how material is removed as machining proceeds cannot be carried out during a 3D interference check.

High-speed canned cycles (Option)
The screen guidance helps the operator enter arguments for canned cycles.

MAPPS tool management system
Information on various tools can be managed comprehensively, to support efficient programming and machining plans.
Tool data list
It displays a list of the data for the tools mounted in the magazine. Offset values, tool life values etc can be checked on a single screen.

Detailed data about the spindle speed, feedrate etc for each tool can be entered and displayed.
The Tool Management System
MCC-TMS
MCC-TMS is compatible with tool ID systems which use IC chips.
It can also be connected to a Linear Pallet Pool system.
Tools can be centrally managed from a PC, which prevents interruptions to machining caused by missing or worn out tools, and supports continuous, long-term system operation. (Option)

System for Data Management
MORI-SERVER
- • Fill requests from multiple Mori Seiki machines simultaneously from a central server connected over an Ethernet network.
- • NC data is stored as files on your PCs hard drive, allowing daily backup of machine data.
