Application System
MORI Automatic Programming for Machining Center
MORI-APM

MORI-APM are application systems which let you create machining programs easily on your PC. Programming time can be dramatically reduced, thanks to the easy operation which just requires you to follow instructions on the screen and enter information about the product's shape.
Its functions, data and operability are fully compatible with the conversational automatic programming system of the MAPPS II/III operating systems. The conversational programs can also be centrally managed.
Main Features
1.Simple programming

Conversational automatic programming
The required tools, cutting conditions, etc can be determined automatically, simply by entering the machining shape. What's more, data entry is minimized by following the guidance screen.
- Advantages
- ・Automatic feature recognition and process programming from 3-D CAD data
- ・Multiple built-in patterns for machining complex (shapes/forms)
- ・Ample checks for error-free programming
- ・Preserved compatibility between conversional programs and the MAPPS
2.Reduce programming time
Simply enter the machining shape using conversational automatic programming and the machine automatically selects the necessary tools and cutting conditions.
3.Save costs

- On-line programming
- · Customers can easily convert conversational programs into NC programs.
- · Cutting conditions can be changed on the MAPPS control.
Functions
Drawing check
3D cutting simulation
It makes checking machining shapes and tool paths simple.

- · Simulations of manually created G code programs, and not just programs entered using the conversational function, are also possible (including sub-programs).
- · Zooming and rotation are available during simulations and tool trajectories can be displayed.

- Time study
- After the 3D cutting simulation is performed,
the estimated cycle times are displayed.
High-speed canned cycles

The screen guidance helps the operator enter arguments for canned cycles.
A single-line program can suffice to provide instructions for high-speed cutting.
- Shorter programming time
- · Automatic generation of the optimal tool paths for high-speed machining
- · Support for troublesome program formats
- · Menu-driven operation that does not require a manual
Contour input
A versatile feature for computing intersections makes drawing easy.
