Mori Seiki Co., Ltd.'s Dura Series, which possesses all the durability and reliability required of a machine tool as well as excellent cutting ability and outstanding cost performance, has received one of the 49th Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun "Best 10 New Products Awards." For this award, sponsored by the Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun, the best 10 products with practical applications are selected from all those released each year, in order to improve the standard of technology in Japan.

High-Precision, High-Efficiency Integrated Mill Turn Center NT Series

Nihon Keizai Shimbun, Inc. selected 250 products from a wide variety of products, from industrial and consumer goods to software and financial goods. The Selection Committee gave awards to a total of 45 products, including 21 that received Awards for Excellence. This is the 2nd time our company has received an Award for Excellence, following the award received for the NV5000 in 2002. The NT Series was the only machine tool that received an Award for Excellence among many products.

Mori Seiki has received the 24th Technology Development Award from the Japan Society for Precision Engineering for "Development of a high precision machining center based on DCG® (Driven at the Center of Gravity)". This is a prestigious award for engineers who have achieved innovative results in the field of precision engineering, awarded to three cases or less of research and development each year. DCG is the core technology on which Mori Seiki will base its future, and is a result of the effort of every employee, starting with its developers, to solve the problems of both technology and cost.
